Elderly Couple Dies In Murder-Suicide: Lehigh County Coroner

Officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in North Whitehall Township on Saturday, May 18, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.

Authorities said 78-year-old Harvey H. Hartung shot his wife, 79-year-old Carol A. Hartung, before turning the gun on himself. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Pennsylvania State Police and the District Attorney's Office are investigating, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio added.
